KOALA SMART - sample pack for schools

Koala Smart is a Lions project aimed to inspire, motivate and educate primary and secondary school children, along with the local community, to actively participate and embrace change to slow the decline in koala populations. The Koala Smart program will engage students in topical and meaningful activities that map to NESA syllabus outcomes.

This sample pack is free to download. It provides an overview of the Koala Smart Framework, and a closer look at Step 3 “Connecting & Caring'. Whether or not schools are able to visit the Koala Hospital, teachers may find that Koala Smart is a great way to deepen their students' understanding of koalas. Through project-based learning, students engage with the issues currently facing the species and design real-world solutions to address them.
