Koala Hospital Membership

The management Committee, Staff and Volunteers of the Koala Preservation Society of NSW Inc. (KPS) welcome you to the Koala Hospital and Study Centre at Port Macquarie NSW. We extend the hand of friendship and hope that you will enjoy working with us to ensure that the remaining precious Koala populations on the Mid North Coast survive well into the future. We do this, not only through Hospital and home care, but education, habitat protection, habitat enhancement and research into the various diseases and illnesses that Koalas contract. Working Members generally undertake to attend various training sessions and will be subject to an initial three month probationary period, depending on the skill level they wish to attain. Please note that Supporting and Probationary Members do not have voting rights at General Meetings of the Society but are welcome to attend.

Membership category
This involves direct participation in some of the functions and activities concerning the care and welfare of Koalas, this category of Membership is only open for participants aged from 17 to 85 living within the boundaries of the area covered by the Koala Hospital's Licence from the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
Working members may also choose to be a 'Friend' of the Koala Hospital.
Annual Membership fee: $15.00
This is the same as a working member but allows two people from the same address to join together.
Annual Membership fee: $25.00
Members who only wish to contribute financially to the Koala Hospital and not have volunteer involvement at the hospital.
Working members may also choose to be a 'Friend' of the Koala Hospital.
Annual Membership fee: $10.00
Supporting the work of the Koala Hopspital for all overseas residents.
Annual Membership fee: $10.00
Junior Membership shall apply to those persons aged less than 16 years. Junior Members aged 14 to 16 wishing to work at the koala hospital and accepted by the Committee must be covered by their respective School Insurance Cover or shall provide proof of private insurance cover.
